It is an ancient philosophy that when the body is in a state of Chi, this is when the body can best heal itself. A detoxified body is a healthy body and a healthy body can heal itself. So what is a negative ion?

A negative ion is an atom that has lost or gained one or more electrons causing it to become negatively charged. This negative ion is smaller than most molecules which allow it to be easily absorbed by the body through the process of osmosis. Negative ions are produced by the ion field that is present by placing an electrically charged array of electrodes into the water during a foot bath session. You could compare this process to a fully charged battery. HOW THE FOOT SPA WORKS

The array goes into the water with the feet, and the power supply delivers a small amount of direct current into the array. When used for feet, this array in a container of water is the ionic foot bath. The electrical charge causes the molecules of the metals within the array, in combination with the water and other elements in the water, to divide thus generating positive and negative ions. This also produces small amounts of oxygen and hydrogen to be released into the air. While you are being treated at the foot spa by the ionic foot bath this is part of the chemistry that takes place when you divide the molecule H2O.
